ReMade in America
ReMade in America is a “For Us, By Us” social enterprise that takes companies’ unsold clothing that would otherwise go into landfills and instead recycles them into free high-quality clothing kits for children and youth in the foster care system. We also recycle old plush toys and fabric and turn them into iFoster ComFYies. AND we hire and train foster youth to run the process so that they can gain marketable skills and career opportunities!
Our World Cup Fan Zone Adventures
What an unforgettable summer! ReMade in America took the excitement of the World Cup Fan Zones across Los Angeles, where we connected with thousands of fans from around the world and shared how iFoster is creating brighter futures for foster youth through innovation, sustainability, and workforce development.
Our limited-edition World Cup ComFYie keychains were a fan favorite! Designed and handcrafted by foster youth at our Dream Factory in Boyle Heights using 100% recycled materials, every ComFYie represents opportunity, creativity, and purpose. Every donation helps support iFoster’s programs, providing foster youth with access to education, employment opportunities, housing support, and other essential resources.
The excitement didn’t stop there! iFoster was featured on K-Love and Recuerdos, two Spanish-language radio stations, where we shared the story behind ReMade in America and how our foster youth-led initiative is making an impact throughout Los Angeles. Watch it here!
From cheering alongside fans from every corner of the globe to introducing thousands of people to the mission behind ReMade in America, these Fan Zones were about so much more than soccer; they were about community, connection, and creating opportunity.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth, supported our mission, and helped us spread the word. We can’t wait for the next adventure!

Job Training and Career Pathways
ReMade in America is also a workforce development program rooted in lived experience. Foster youth are hired and trained to support the full process—building skills that lead to long-term career opportunities.
Through the Jobs Program, youth gain experience in:
- Product design and creation
- Supply chain logistics and distribution
- Digital marketing and operations
- Circular economy and remanufacturing systems
Meeting an Urgent Community Need
Clothing is the number one concrete need identified by families impacted by the child welfare system. At the same time, millions of tons of usable clothing are discarded every year.
ReMade in America brings these two challenges together into one solution—providing essential resources with dignity while reducing waste.
