What iFoster is doing to keep foster youth connected during the crisis.
Below is a two-minute update from iFoster’s CEO & Co-Founder, Serita Cox on our cell phone and laptop programs that are helping to connect disconnected foster youth in California.
- The #1 need reported by foster youth during this crisis is the technology to communicate.
- Over 40,000 foster youth in California can no longer attend school, visit with social workers, therapists and extended family.
- Over the past 3 weeks, iFoster has delivered over 5,000 devices to ensure our young people are connected.
If you are a foster youth in need, know a young person, or can help us rise to the challenge of ensuring ALL foster youth can communicate, you can reach us at support@ifoster.org.
And click here for a few personal suggestions from Kimberly Khan, MSW Student at Hunter College with a BSW & Life Coach & Program Specialist at iFoster that the will help you and others stay healthy and happy as all of us work through daily challenges of the COVID-19 crisis.
