Who We Are

iFoster is a national nonprofit with over 60,000 members across all 50 states, Guam and Puerto Rico. An estimated 300 new members join iFoster every month.

iFoster’s mission is to ensure that every child growing up outside of their biological home has the resources and opportunities they need to become successful, independent adults.

  • Together we’re helping raise > 438,000 children in foster care.
  • 25,000 Transition-Age Foster Youth (age 16 to 24) receiving the education and employment supports and opportunities they need to successfully transition to adulthood.
  • 43,000 Caregivers getting the life-changing products and services their children need to thrive.
  • 4,000 Agencies helping their youth and families get what they need to succeed.
  • 350 Companies and organizations providing thousands of needed educational, employment, health, recreational, and daily living products, services and opportunities our foster youth need to achieve their full potential.

  • Corporate partners providing job opportunities include: Amazon, CVS, Kroger, Starbucks.
  • Other partners include: grocery discounts, A Home Within (free mental health therapy), National Orthodontic Association (discounted braces), pro bono legal, etc.
Our Child Welfare Partners

iFoster partners with child welfare agencies nationwide to reach children and youth in care and their caregivers. Agencies train their clients on iFoster and how to use the iFoster resource portal.

  • 4,000 Agencies are members of iFoster.
  • Agencies include: Adoption Agencies, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Child Welfare Legal Agencies, Foster Family Agencies, Independent Living Programs, State, Tribal and County Child Welfare Departments, Transitional Housing Programs, Youth Homeless Shelters.

Our Board

Our Board of Directors are independent, dedicated executives who are leaders in their fields. With a diversity of experience in corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors, they bring a balanced approach to ensuring iFoster is fulfilling its mission and being fiscally responsible.

  • Board experience includes: Advertising and PR, Banking and Investment Banking, Child Welfare, Digital and Social Media, Faith-Based, Fundraising, Grocery, Health Insurance, Operational and Organizational Consulting, Primary Care Health Care, Retail, Strategy Consulting, Supply Chain Logistics.
Our Team

Our team is of the community we serve – lead by a former foster youth with team members with lived experience and decades of working with children in care and transition-age youth. Our team brings corporate goal-driven approach to the public sector.

  • A blend of corporate experience and leadership with deep child welfare knowledge.
  • Deep Tech Industry experience including designing and building online communities and platforms.
  • Mission and data-driven, holding each other accountable for achieving outcomes that meaningfully change the lives of the children and youth served.
