Did you know that according to the CDC, among adolescents aged 12-17 years in 2018-2019, 15.1% of them had a major depressive episode, 36.7% of them had persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness and 18.8% seriously considered attempting suicide? Across the state of California and the US, there are many foster youth who suffer from different mental health issues, and it can be difficult and tiring to cope with them. Mental health is crucial for our daily lives, so iFoster Youth created this mental health toolkit to address the needs of foster youth and mental health.
